"Durham Academy is an independent, coeducational day school with 1,100
students in pre-kindergarten through grade 12. The school was founded
in 1933 as the Calvert Method School.
Durham Academy's mission is to provide each student with an education

The University of North Carolina, the nation's
first state university, was chartered in 1789 and opened its doors in
